How to Set Up a

Country-Specific Persona

Overview

Personas help you tailor experiences to specific user types. This guide explains how to create a country-specific persona, define its attributes, and ensure it is available for use across your website.

Prerequisites

Before creating a persona, make sure you have:

  • Access to the DXP Dashboard
  • A clear understanding of the audience segment this persona represents


*Please note: to set up the Persona correctly, you need to follow all the steps described in this article.
 

STEP 1: Navigate to the Persona Management Area in the DXP
  • Log in to your DXP admin dashboard.
  • Go to Personas
  • Click + Persona to Add New Persona.

STEP 2:  Enter Country-Specific Persona Details

Fill in the core information:

  • Persona Name: A clear, descriptive title relevant to your audience
  • Short Description: A concise explanation of which country this persona represents.
  • Image/Icon/Colour (optional): Assigning an image or icon and a colour makes it easier to identify your persona.

STEP 3:  Define Demographics & Add Rules

Configure the audience criteria by adding rules. Click  + RULES and add the following rules:

  • Condition = Contact Property
  • Name = Country
  • String Match Type = Exact Match
  • Value = Australia (for this example)
  • RuleActionType = Add Points
  • Points = 10 
  • RuleTimeType = Every Time

Save each rule and confirm the logic is correct.

STEP 4:  Save
  • Review all fields for accuracy.
  • Click Save to create your persona
  • Check that the setup has been successful by confirming the persona appears in your persona list.  Please allow up to 2 hours for all data to be shown.

You're all set! Now you can create a country-specific Persona!
