CMS - Video Feature - How to Create One

To create a Video feature in AMAIS:

1. Select Options > Edit Page if you are not in Edit mode already
2. Scroll to the bottom of the module you wish to add the feature to, and select the yellow + icon
3. In the Create a New Feature menu, enter your Feature Name, then select Video from the Feature Type section
4. Select Save. The dialog box will close and return you to the page, where a new Video feature will appear

If you are using the Column layout, you will need to set the column width.

There are two different ways to upload a video to your feature: using an embed code or uploading a video file.

Embedding a Video File

To embed a video from another source:

1. Open your Video Feature in Edit mode
2. Paste the video embed code (from YouTube, Vimeo, or another video sharing site) into the Embed HTML box
3. Save your changes

Embedded content typically does not show up in Edit mode – you will have to view the page in Preview mode or publish it to see your video.

If you are still unable to see the video, check its privacy settings and ensure that sharing is enabled or that your domain is whitelisted.

Uploading a Video File

Due to AMAIS’ file upload limit, we would not recommend this method unless the video is very short.

To upload a video file to AMAIS:

1. Open your feature in Edit mode and select +Asset (You can also do this by selecting DAM > Assets > +Asset from the main menu)
2. Upload your video file
3. Add it to the feature by selecting the checkbox on the top-left of the file, then choosing Update
4. Save your changes
