Headers and footers are held on admin pages in the site admin section of your website’s site map. Each is held on it’s own page and is pulled into content and experience pages via CSS applied in page settings.

To edit headers and footers pulled in from an admin page:

  • Go to the site map.
  • Open the dropdown for the section entitled Site Admin.
  • Click on Header or Footer and open the desired page.
  • Enter edit mode.
  • Edit the features as you normally would on any other page.
  • Once you have finished editing the header or footer page select publish from the options menu.

Header and Footer Variations

Your website may have several variations of the headers and footers, each of which will be held on its own page in the Site Admin Folder.

To change which header or footer is displaying on a content or experience page:

  • Select options in the AMAIS menu bar.
  • Go to page settings.
  • Enter the CSS for the desired header or footer into the Custom CSS Class field.
  • Select Save.

The CSS used to pull in headers and footers is taken from the URL of the header & footer pages, i.e. header-2. The URLs for header & footer pages should always start with ‘header-’ or ‘footer-’.

If you do not enter any CSS then the default headers and footers should be pulled through automatically.
