How do I Clone an Existing Page?

← Return Read on ↓

The steps for Cloning an Exisiting Page are as follows:

  1. From an Existing Page on your site, navigate to Options, then select the +Page button.
  2. Once you have selected the +Page button, the Add a Page pop-up will appear.
  3. Navigate to the Copy an Existing Page tab.
  4. From here you can do the following:
    - Select desired Page to Clone
    - Input Page Name
    - Input Menu Name
    - Input desired URL
    - Input Page Tags
    - Select Parent Page
    - Or whether or not to include in the Navigation.
  5. Once you have added all your desired information, select Clone.
  6. Before making ANY changes to your new page, you must first create new versions of every feature you wish to change. Cloning a page creates a shared version of every feature from the original, so it's imperative to +Version features on your new page to ensure they are disconnected from the original. Failing to do so will result in changing the cloned page's content as well as the new one.
  7. To create new versions, hover over each feature one by one, and click the three dots. Then under Options, click the "+Version". The page will refresh and you'll see that purple SHARED feature bar is removed from that feature. Repeat for every feature on the page where you'll be changing content.
  8. Once your page is ready to be published, go into Options and select Publish.
