TEXT FEATURE

How do I add a Button to a Text Feature?

← Return Read on ↓

There are typically several Button Types you can add to a Text Feature, and they usually follow this format in the Style Guide:

  • site-button-primary
  • site-button-secondary
  • and so on (check your website styleguide to confirm the exact button choices you have available)

*Note: Depending on the Style Guide for your specific website, there may be more variations in color, size, or even rounded edges.

Adding Buttons

It is very simple to make a hyperlink that looks like a button:

  1. Enter edit mode in AMAIS on the page you wish to edit
  2. Scroll to the Text Feature you wish to add the button link into and type the link words (for example; Click Here)
  3. Select those words and use the link tool in the Text Feature toolbar to create a hyperlink
  4. Add the URL for the hyperlink (and also choose to open the link in a new window if required via the Target tab)
  5. Click to the Advanced tab and add your button CSS into the Stylesheet Classes field
  6. Press OK and you should see that your link is now a button

  7. Preview the page in Desktop (and Mobile) mode so you can test the button link to confirm it is all set up correctly

  8. Once you are satisfied that the work is complete, publish the page
