Content Designer

JOB SUMMARY.

The first data-driven, digital content ecosystem for schools. UBIQ imagines a new way for schools to market and communicate.

As UBIQ continues to grow, we are looking for a UX-focused Content Designer to join our team and work across a portfolio of exciting projects; to create beautiful websites which encourage user interactivity and support our clients’ digital marketing goals.


CORE ROLE FUNCTIONS

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of client content propagation/migration into new UBIQ websites across a portfolio of active projects.
  • Migrating and designing pages including copy, photography, videography and other media.
  • Creating bespoke page layouts utilising CMS tools and available features.
  • Considering user journey as well as visual design appeal and interactivity.
  • Supporting testing and QA of websites during the migration process.
  • Working with Project Managers and Developers during the website development phase to ensure client brief is met.
  • Ensuring web best practices are implemented consistently.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Qualities we are looking for:

  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • An eye for design and an understanding of user experience on web (desktop and mobile).
  • Highly personable individual who works well within a team.
  • Clear communicator; highly articulate, both written and verbally.
  • Fast learner with the ability to work across multiple software platforms, and quickly adapt to process changes.
  • Goal and deadline driven.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills; able to effectively prioritise and handle multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Self-reflective, able to take on feedback with the desire to develop professionally.

Application requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in:
    • Web/digital/software environment
    • Working with CMS platforms/Wordpress
    • Webmaster experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of UI/UX and best practices for web.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Working knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience in the education sector and/or digital marketing is desirable.
  • Alignment with UBIQ’s company vision to be an outstanding provider of digital marketing services within the sector.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Position reports to the Production Director.
  • 40 hour flexible working week.
  • Remote.
  • Unlimited holidays.

SALARY

  • £24K - £35K dependent on experience.
